About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop innovative consumer-facing APIs and services
- Create and maintain consumer-facing web components and websites
- Collaborate with iOS engineers so they can leverage the APIs you own
- Collaborate with Machine Learning engineers to leverage models they produce
- Monitor production application performance and troubleshoot issues
- Write and maintain automated tests for new and existing code
- Contribute to software architecture decisions
- Work with Engineering Managers and Product Owners to prioritize work within an agile development methodology
- Implement robust software based on project requirements, technical designs, and industry best practices
- Contribute to design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve client challenges
- Help define the scope and direction of new initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of backend experience with Python
- 2+ years of frontend experience with Vue or equivalent frontend libraries like React or Angular
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent web framework
- Experience creating JavaScript components that are shareable across multiple websites
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience with AWS, MongoDB, and Redis
- Ability to communicate technical requirements both verbal and written
- Embrace collaboration, care, inclusivity, and respect
- Able to adapt in a fast-paced technical environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
