About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide accurate effort estimates for roadmap planning and expectation management.
Design and implement resilient, scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant architectures.
Develop new features and support existing systems across the Network API, xSIM Management System, and Recording Platforms.
Deliver small, incremental enhancements that integrate with established codebases.
Maintain and update existing solutions.
Collaborate with team members to support smooth development and shared understanding.
Write and maintain comprehensive tests for regression and feature validation.
Implement procedures and metrics for monitoring and observability.
Participate in code reviews.
Own the quality and outcomes of work, including end-to-end flows.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Contribute to team discussions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of professional experience in backend development, preferably with Go (Golang); strong Java experience with willingness to learn Go is welcome.
Strong understanding of concurrency models, including asynchronous workflows, inter-process communication, and synchronisation techniques.
Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, or DynamoDB; data modelling, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and benchmarks, with a test-driven development mindset.
Familiarity with networking protocols and distributed communication patterns such as gRPC, WebSockets, TCP/UDP.
Experience building scalable microservices architectures and distributed systems.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
Familiarity with Git workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
Accountability for technical outcomes and end-to-end feature delivery.
Effective written and verbal English communication.
Nice to have: idiomatic Go, pprof, trace, event-driven architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Prometheus, Grafana, MSML, and SIP.
