About the role

  • Apply composition and cinematography terminology to short video content
  • Describe framing, movement, visual flow, and spatial relationships
  • Create exemplar annotations establishing quality benchmarks
  • Identify ambiguous cases, missing categories, and annotation-schema edge cases
  • Collaborate with project leads and quality reviewers as annotation standards evolve
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail across framework updates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5+ years of professional experience as a graphic designer, visual designer, brand designer, editorial designer, layout or print specialist, art director, or in a closely related discipline
  • Professionals with 7+ years of experience or substantial art-direction expertise may be well suited to quality-leadership responsibilities
  • Portfolio demonstrating advanced typography, colour, layout, grid systems, and visual hierarchy
  • Strong background in editorial, poster, marketing, or comparable communication design
  • Expert-level proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable professional design tools
  • Relevant Adobe experience may include Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Familiarity with Canva or other production platforms is valuable
  • Ability to articulate design concepts precisely using established design and composition terminology
  • Strong written English for detailed annotation and structured documentation
  • Motion design, video editing, or cinematography experience is beneficial
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, agency, institution, or other third party
