About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership and delivery ownership for software engineers building and operating scalable cloud-native applications on AWS
Lead delivery of business-critical applications
Establish technical direction and architectural standards
Drive AWS cloud adoption and modernization initiatives
Make architecture decisions and guide solution design across Spring Boot microservices, OpenSearch platforms, CI/CD, observability, and AWS infrastructure
Ensure solution scalability, performance, security, and reliability
Promote DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted development practices
Support incident resolution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, product teams, platform teams, and stakeholders
Mentor engineers and develop technical talent
Align technology investments with business goals and ensure successful execution of business objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Java backend development experience
Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems
Experience with AWS, including ECS/Fargate, IAM, ALB, RDS, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
Experience with Docker, CI/CD, GitHub, observability, DevOps, and infrastructure as code
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, event-driven architecture, API integration, and performance optimization
Experience with cloud architecture and AWS cloud adoption/modernization
Experience with AI-assisted development tools
Strong technical leadership, communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, ownership, conflict resolution, and adaptability
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive delivery of complex cloud-native solutions
Automotive background, Java background, Lucid background, or OpenSearch experience
No full-stack role with heavy front-end Angular/React/TypeScript focus
