About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies/procedures
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, or serve as an individual contributor initially with growth into a supervisory role
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers for annual audits and tax filings
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
Manage day-to-day cash flow reporting and support treasury administration
Recommend process improvements within existing accounting systems and flag opportunities to evaluate new tools
Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as directed by the CFO
Work closely with the CFO to provide accurate financial data supporting business decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and other accounting/ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Xero)
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3DGS participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility
CPA or CPA-track preferred
Experience in manufacturing, design, or engineering-related industries preferred
Prior experience in a small-to-mid-sized company or startup environment preferred
Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
