About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist company lawyers with legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, corporate materials and internal guidance
- Support commercial contracting and day-to-day legal matters involving customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders
- Assist with corporate governance, company law and legal entity administration matters
- Contribute to business projects and cross-functional initiatives with Sales, IT, Finance, HR and Business Development
- Support strategic projects where relevant
- Maintain and develop Legal team templates, playbooks, document repositories and legal knowledge materials
- Coordinate matters and follow-ups, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and accessible
- Take on broader responsibilities as experience and confidence grow
- Work alongside legal professionals across the Nordics and North America
Requirements
What you’ll need- Senior-level law student at a Finnish university, preferably in the later stage of studies
- Strong interest in commercial law, contract law, company law and international in-house legal work
- Preferably previous relevant experience from an in-house legal position, law firm as an associate trainee, or comparable legal trainee role with a more independent approach
- Experience in M&A-related tasks, corporate transactions or due diligence is an advantage
- Ability to analyse legal questions carefully and translate findings into clear, practical and business-oriented advice
- Excellent written and spoken English and Finnish
- Structured, accurate and proactive working style
- Comfortable managing several assignments simultaneously
- Collaborative, curious and willing to learn
- Ability to take ownership and drive tasks forward independently
- Initiative and ability to ensure work gets done
- Must submit CV, transcript of records and a short application explaining motivation and relevant experience
