About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Receive wood from the saw shop and piece it together with a nail gun along set stringers
Build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood
Stack finished products by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas
Ensure personal and workplace safety by following company procedures
Achieve high quality standards while maintaining a high volume of finished goods
Work the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing experience highly preferred
Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, elements, and air particulate
Repetitively lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including eye protection, mandatory ear protection at several locations, and safety shoes
Close vision, distance vision, and color vision
Good sense of balance and good eye-hand-foot coordination
