About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a crew of warehouse personnel
Manage customer relations
Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including production, efficiencies, and employee development
Fulfill the On-Site Manager role in the manager’s absence
Communicate expectations and goals daily, weekly, and monthly to employees
Promote a safe working environment and help ensure safety standards are met
Conduct safety and shift start-up meetings
Complete daily production paperwork accurately
Load and unload materials from trailers
Move pallets or materials around the storage facility
Stack pallets or materials correctly according to inventory control instructions
Ensure loads are secure
Perform daily equipment checks on industrial power equipment
Examine products for conformance to quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe working environment meeting Relogistics standards
Assist with forklift driver duties, supplying and retrieving pallets or materials
Make decisions regarding pallet and material movement to maximize location efficiency
Track pallet and material movements in a timely and legible manner
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required
3 years of applicable experience, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, or distribution environments
1 year in a supervisory role
Demonstrated ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural instruction manuals
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Experience in MS Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Forklift, yard truck, and sort machine certification may be required
Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulate
Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including eye protection, ear protection at several locations, and safety shoes
Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and color vision
Good sense of balance and good eye-hand-foot coordination
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
