About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network and datacenter environments
- Deliver reliable LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewall, load balancing, and cloud networking solutions
- Troubleshoot complex end-to-end network issues across on-premises and cloud environments
- Participate in the design and delivery of new network solutions and infrastructure improvements
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, architecture, and application teams
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
- Improve network performance, availability, automation, and operational efficiency
- Participate in project delivery and Business-as-Usual operational activities
- Support planned maintenance, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical production environments
- Share knowledge, support colleagues, mentor others, and influence technical direction
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and the OSI model
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex network issues across multiple technologies using TCPDUMP/Wireshark
- Solid knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, NAT, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, SD-WAN, and network security
- Experience with enterprise network design and implementation
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services, including VPC, Transit Gateway, Transit Gateway routing, Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Route Tables, and Security Groups
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Ansible, Python, or equivalent
- Experience with VMware NSX-T and/or Cisco ACI networking
- Strong experience with Nexus datacenter switching
- Exposure to network automation and scripting is advantageous
- Understanding of AI components, including LLMs and MCPs
- Experience with one or more of Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, Cisco Nexus, F5 BIG-IP, Infoblox, VMware, AWS Networking Services, Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Arista switching and routing, Splunk, New Relic, and/or SolarWinds observability tooling is desirable
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, AWS Advanced Networking, or equivalent are desirable
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize effectively and take a leading role on multiple projects
