About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and optimize software components powering advanced spectroscopy solutions.
Work on a mobile application, web platform, and dedicated ML model runtime.
Collaborate with the software development team and other departments to design, develop, and maintain product features meeting internal and external user needs.
Rigorously test software components to ensure high quality standards.
Ensure security, availability, and high performance of software components.
Reproduce and fix reported and discovered issues.
Contribute to product improvement across user interface, technical, and development process levels.
Maintain pragmatic development and operations-focused technical documentation.
Identify, implement, validate, and monitor automation opportunities.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and NIRLAB technologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Open minded, willing to learn new skills and share your expertise.
Proven experience building complex, production grade software products.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in at least one of: Python, C#, Typescript.
Strong experience with at least one of: Django, Django REST Framework, Xamarin, .NET MAUI, Svelte, SvelteKit is a big plus.
Proficiency with version control systems (git).
Familiarity with agile development methodologies (kanban, scrum).
Experience with containerization (docker/docker compose; Kubernetes is a plus).
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Infomaniak) is a plus.
Experience with database management (MySQL/PostgreSQL) is a plus.
Experience designing intuitive user interfaces and coherent user experiences is a plus.
Knowledge of NIR spectroscopy and its applications is a plus.
Advanced degrees or certifications in machine learning or cloud solutions are a plus.
