About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitation documents to understand pricing requirements and compliance mandates
- Develop detailed cost models and pricing strategies aligned with technical proposals
- Collaborate with technical, program management, and subcontractor teams to gather pricing inputs
- Perform cost and price analyses for competitiveness and compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable guidelines
- Prepare and validate direct labor, indirect rates, material, subcontractor, and other direct expense data
- Conduct what-if analyses to model cost scenarios and identify risks
- Coordinate pricing integration with technical and management proposal volumes
- Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs), cost narratives, and price-to-win analyses
- Respond to customer and auditor requests for pricing information or clarification
- Identify and implement pricing process improvements and best practices
- Maintain and update pricing templates and databases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; additional experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in federal proposal pricing or cost analysis, preferably in the government contracting industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling
- Understanding of federal contracting regulations, including FAR and DFARS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear and compelling cost narratives
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments
- Comfortable with a fast-paced agency environment and a variety of client service tasks
- Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
