About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, design, and develop visualization solutions supporting investigative and audit products
  • Design experiments, test hypotheses, and build scalable data science and artificial intelligence models
  • Design, develop, and adapt mathematical, statistical, econometric, and analytical solutions for audits, investigations, research, and support functions
  • Lead natural language processing, predictive analytics, and machine learning model development, training, evaluation, testing, refinement, deployment, and maintenance
  • Translate complex technical findings into understandable narratives
  • Prepare documentation including requirements, test plans, user manuals, technical diagrams, and training materials
  • Develop project communications and maintain relationships with project teams, stakeholders, and management
  • Advise on data access, quality, storage, and related project needs
  • Contribute to and present training and conference materials
  • Collect and analyze data from diverse sources to develop trends, descriptive statistics, and insights
  • Research, extract, evaluate, interpret, and visualize data as actionable intelligence for auditors and investigators detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Use relational databases, data lakes, and data lakehouses to create business intelligence tools, summary tables, comparison graphs, and temporal, association, and link analysis charts
  • Collaborate with agencies and peers to share information and learn analytical tools and techniques
  • Develop database application and environment expertise and share it with coworkers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 5+ years of coding experience utilizing SQL, Python, R, and JavaScript
  • 3+ years of experience with Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Robotics Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, text and/or data mining, and statistical and mathematical methods
  • 6+ months of experience with AWS or Azure services such as Databricks, Data Factory, and Data Lake
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
  • Experience operating within Agile frameworks and supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Ability to create datasets, visualizations, and interactive reports in business intelligence applications
  • Proficiency applying analytical techniques, methods, and processes to business problems
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including optimization, simulation, classical and spatial statistics, and programming languages
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Strong relational database and querying languages experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years; military service excluded
