About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Focus on business intelligence and reporting technologies and methodologies
Identify, clean, transform, and load data into data models
Create data models, establish relationship cardinality and cross-filter direction, and build complex measures
Create reports, dashboards, scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics
Assist with requirements definitions, solution designs, technical architecture, and delivery
Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, business analysts, customers, and OCIO technical team members
Implement solutions using Microsoft Power BI and related technologies
Leverage data warehouses, data marts, and data models for business, financial, and operational analysis and reporting
Develop high-performing, reliable, and scalable solutions
Optimize performance of new and existing data models
Communicate technical details to business and management staff
Perform data analysis supporting and enhancing information management systems and services
Author and oversee design documents for approved projects
Develop, publish, and schedule reports, dashboards, scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics
Provide feedback and coaching to team members on Microsoft Power BI and related technologies
Recommend new and emerging technologies and concepts to team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years
Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years; military service excluded
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field, or PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification or equivalent
4+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence and/or Information Management
2+ years of experience with data visualization and implementing high-value solutions; experience performing administrative activities across multi-environment infrastructures
2+ years of experience working in a client-facing technical role
Strong knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, data marts, data stores, cubes, data quality and profiling, data governance, metadata management, data visualization, dashboard design, reporting, self-service BI, KPIs, scorecards, predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics
Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, or Python
Excellent communication skills
Prior experience with government software development policies and procedures is a plus
