About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform daily server administration activities within the Voice-Over-IP platform
  • Provide leadership, technical expertise, and subject matter input for complex issues and designs
  • Work closely with the network team on daily operations
  • Handle Level 3 incident and problem response while ensuring SLAs are met
  • Manage change management, patching, vulnerability management, and day-to-day support of Cisco technologies
  • Lead assigned voice network development and software implementation projects
  • Evaluate client needs and recommend resources, staff, equipment, and materials
  • Set task priorities
  • Execute L2/L3 support and root cause analysis for voice issues, including packet loss, jitter, and latency
  • Configure Cisco integrated service routers and multilayer switches with internal network engineers
  • Migrate on-premises VoIP environments to Cisco Webex Calling
  • Design and configure CUCM, CER, CUC, and CUBE/SBC
  • Manage route patterns, translation rules, and calling search spaces for PSTN connectivity
  • Create and maintain documentation for voice solutions, deployments, dial plans, configurations, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with voice network infrastructure standards
  • Coordinate with telecommunications carriers and third-party vendors for number porting and incident resolution
  • Oversee software patching, system backups, and firmware upgrades on Cisco voice gateways, phones, and servers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of Cisco VoIP Engineer experience in an enterprise-size environment
  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a global organization
  • CCNP or higher certification
  • Experience with CUCM, CER, CUC, UCCX, and Expressway
  • Experience with Cisco Webex Calling
  • Knowledge of SIP, H.323, MCGP, and RTP protocols
  • Strong understanding of IP routing, switching, and QoS (Quality of Service)
  • Knowledge of enterprise data center and infrastructure environments
  • Large project management experience
  • No sponsorship; work authorization required
  • Ability to provide out-of-hours support when required
