About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and evolve the company’s data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architecture
- Create and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion and transformation
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines
- Perform database modeling based on design patterns and dimensional modeling (Kimball)
- Configure and maintain data infrastructure in AWS environments
- Support and enhance the existing infrastructure
- Orchestrate data workflows using dbt and Prefect
- Work with data warehouse platforms such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Snowflake
- Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of data systems
- Establish and ensure data governance across the company
- Implement data engineering and data quality best practices
- Support governance and back-office teams
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, technology, and other business teams
- Develop automations, dashboards, and metrics to meet the needs of various departments
- Translate business rules into technical data solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed or ongoing degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering
- Solid experience with SQL and programming, preferably Python
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
- Proficiency with data orchestration tools: Prefect and dbt
- Knowledge of data warehouse platforms: Snowflake or Redshift
- Knowledge of design patterns and dimensional modeling (Kimball) and/or database modeling
- Knowledge of data architectures and the modeling of Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse structures
- Knowledge of data solution architecture
