About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join ALG’s Disputes & Investigations team
- Resolve complex, high-value and cross-border commercial disputes through litigation, arbitration, mediation, negotiation and expert determination
- Advise on complex corporate crises using regulatory and white-collar expertise
- Design and implement legal strategies for complex client mandates
- Lead engagements with regulators
- Oversee internal investigations
- Provide strategic advice to boards
- Manage stakeholder relationships
- Protect company reputations
- Assist with employment fallout
- Manage litigation risk
- Advise on contentious mandates involving consumers or customers, including product liability litigation and multi-party actions
- Advise Irish and international clients across technology, financial services, life sciences, real estate, asset management, manufacturing, automotive, retail, agri-food and gaming sectors
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years relevant PQE gained within a large, medium or boutique corporate law firm or relevant in-house experience
- Experience or interest in advising on disputes and contentious issues for technology companies
- Experience or interest in advising on business-critical commercial disputes and innovative legal strategies for claims brought by cohorts of customers
- Experience or interest in litigation, mediation, expert determination and arbitration
- Experience or interest in advising on defamation claims/cases
- Experience or interest in white collar crime issues impacting corporates, including fraud, bribery/corruption, money laundering and corporate offences
- Experience of engaging with regulators, including the Data Protection Commission, Comisiún na Meán, and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, in regulatory enquiries, information requests, investigations and 'dawn raids'
