About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce invitation-only dinners, breakfasts, workshops, and hackathons end to end
- Source and vet attendees
- Run event days and manage follow-up that turns events into relationships
- Curate attendees for different event formats
- Represent the founder in the room when needed
- Maintain the member CRM as the source of truth
- Track introductions and manage warm-intro routing
- Implement standard follow-up sequences after every event
- Build playbooks, templates, and AI-assisted workflows
- Audit and improve existing processes
- Coordinate volunteers supporting events in New York
- Write room recaps and operate the newsletter and content pipeline
- Post publicly under the Brderless name and the employee's own name
- Work alongside the founder as she increases her public presence
- Own event logistics and eventually a complete event production system
- Improve post-event introductions and member retention
- Participate in partner conversations and learn the company's revenue model
- Initiate and develop new growth initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Early-career operator passionate about events, founders, and community
- Good with people and systems
- Comfortable being visible through posting, hosting, and introducing yourself to founders
- Strong judgment and high standards for curation and execution
- Able to work with high context and low instruction
- Hungry and motivated to build
- Able to receive blunt feedback
- Cares specifically about technology and founders
- Willingness to build a network in public
- Full-time availability
- Willingness to travel occasionally, mainly to cover rooms the founder cannot attend
- Ability to work early mornings and occasional evenings
- Nice to have: experience handling sponsorship or partnership money
- Nice to have: existing footprint in the San Francisco or New York tech scene
- Nice to have: newsletter, podcast, or content production experience
- Nice to have: experience with large-format events of 150+ people
- Nice to have: a self-directed side project
