About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide commercially focused and pragmatic advice and recommendations on day-to-day HR and employment issues
- Recommend and assist with implementing HR solutions, changes, and practical tools
- Advise management teams on applying HR policies and help recruit, train, and manage team members
- Help clients build inclusive, welcoming, and values-driven cultures and working environments
- Mentor and support line managers
- Act as first point of contact for HR queries and management support and advice
- Research and implement cost-effective HR tools
- Represent AAB at external events and support marketing and sales activities
- Support clients across different growth stages and sectors
- Develop HR and consultancy skills with mentoring from Senior Consultants
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years' experience applying HR practice, employee relations, and legislation
- Ability to translate HR knowledge into practical advice and tools
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Excellent questioning skills
- Consultative, flexible, commercial, and client-focused approach
- Effective people skills and ability to build trust and rapport
- Discretion and understanding of strict confidentiality requirements
- Forward-thinking, solutions-focused, and innovative approach
- Responsive and client-focused
- Commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and personal development
- Highly organised, diligent, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Willing and able to travel to office locations and client sites as required
- CIPD-qualified or willing to work toward gaining the qualification
- Full driving licence and access to a car essential
- Full-time or part-time availability, with a minimum of 4 days per week
