Key responsibilities & impact

Track market, competitor, and regulatory trends for Abacus’ payment integrity solutions and provide insights to Product
Collaborate across the company to improve performance measurement and analytical tools and reporting
Build healthcare analytics offerings and demo materials covering payment integrity, medical cost management, value-based care, population health, risk adjustment, and HEDIS/Star ratings
Deliver product demos with Sales and support RFPs and proposals with robust data
Analyze the sales pipeline to forecast revenue and identify market opportunities
Build executive-ready dashboards and KPIs for leadership and sales alignment
Own analytics for deal margins, including revenue and cost models
Contribute to pricing strategy using cost and implementation data
Meet with clients and prospects to translate payer reimbursement methodologies, claims trends, and medical cost drivers into insights
Uncover client challenges where Abacus can drive value

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–10+ years in a healthcare-related company (payer, provider, vendor, or consulting), with deep, hands-on experience in payment integrity
Sharp understanding of healthcare industry and financial reporting, including payer reimbursement methodologies, claims data, and medical cost trends
Deep knowledge of payment integrity concepts such as pre-pay and post-pay audit, DRG validation, coordination of benefits, and fraud, waste, and abuse detection
Subject matter expertise in healthcare data and analytics used by payers
Experience building and presenting executive-ready dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Clear, polished, and empathetic communication style
Self-starter mentality and ability to thrive in ambiguity
Confidence engaging external customers and prospects in high-stakes sales conversations, including RFPs and executive-level presentations
Payment Integrity experience is required
Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, or PowerBI is listed as not required
Curiosity about healthcare tech and startups is listed as not required
