About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and deploy features and services within the ABBYY Vantage Document AI platform
- Contribute to document processing pipelines, AI skill management, cloud infrastructure, and API layers
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and champion engineering best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, ML engineers, and software engineers
- Improve Vantage services, tooling, and delivery workflows
- Help reduce technical debt and increase engineering velocity
- Monitor cloud service health and performance
- Investigate and resolve production incidents
- Stay current with Document AI, cloud-native patterns, and GenAI integration approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- More than 5 years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in C++
- Ability to work with multiple programming languages, including C# .NET and C++
- Hands-on experience with application containerization using Docker
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying, preferably using GitHub Actions
- Understanding of microservices architecture, distributed system design, and cloud-native patterns at enterprise scale
- Experience in cloud and Kubernetes, preferably using Microsoft Azure (AKS, Storage, Key Vaults, Azure SQL or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, including schema design, indexing, and query performance optimization
- Hands-on experience designing and operating workflow-driven systems, including orchestration, retries, timeouts, and state management
- Experience integrating Machine Learning, Neural Networks, or LLMs into enterprise applications and workflows
- Familiarity with OCR, NLP, and computer vision technologies
