About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Train to move into the Shift Leader role, typically within 90 days.
Increase store wine and spirits sales through personalized service with Guests and Team Members.
Serve as Manager on Duty in training; open and close the store.
Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing store operations.
Greet Guests and provide prompt, friendly, and engaging service.
Operate Point-of-Sale terminals, process transactions, handle cash and other tenders, apply coupons or discounts, and perform opening/closing reconciliation.
Complete required training and maintain knowledge of company policies and products.
Train, coach, and direct sales associates while acting as Manager on Duty in training.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store, stockroom, Team Member areas, restrooms, sales floor, parking lots, and walkways.
Sweep, remove debris, collect shopping carts, empty trash, and perform routine restroom cleaning.
Provide product wrapping, assemble custom gift baskets, and offer carryout service.
Unload and put away weekly truck deliveries.
Merchandise and display products on shelves and in beer coolers, restocking from stockrooms as needed.
Perform other tasks and projects assigned by store management.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be 21 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of proven experience and/or training in a management or leadership role; at least 2 years of education from a college or technical school in Business Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand.
Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance; report to work as scheduled and remain onsite for the duration of shifts.
Ability to stand and move about for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more.
Ability to bend, lift, and twist to move product and assist with merchandising.
Ability to lift and/or transport up to 40 lbs. throughout the store and stockroom.
Ability to perform overhead lifting and use ladders and step stools.
Ability to frequently move between sales floor, stockroom, and exterior areas.
Ability to visually inspect product labels, signage, and displays and respond to visual cues.
Ability to work in elevated locations, outdoor weather conditions, with cleaning fumes or airborne particles, refrigerated temperatures of 32–41ºF, and moderate noise.
