Key responsibilities & impact

Design and execute platform-level software projects from conception through launch, collaborating with senior engineers across the organization
Build and maintain backend services and APIs powering portal experiences
Build reusable frontend libraries, design systems, and developer tooling to accelerate feature delivery across product teams
Own infrastructure concerns, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability for portal applications
Drive frontend performance, accessibility, and quality standards across portal applications
Contribute to engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional development activities
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Help teams accelerate changes across different areas of frontend development
Collaborate with an experienced, distributed engineering team to design components and drive execution
Support enterprise-grade stability, security, and usability across customer, end-user, and demo portals

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a track record of owning and delivering complex, cross-team projects end-to-end
Deep expertise in React and modern frontend architecture, including state management, performance tuning, build tooling, and design systems
Strong backend proficiency in Python (Django) or TypeScript, with experience designing APIs and data models for scale
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, and comfort operating production systems
Ability to influence technical direction through RFCs, architecture decisions, or platform migrations
Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Strong communication skills, especially in distributed/async environments
Ability to balance technical debt with feature delivery at the platform level
Growth-driven mindset with an interest in increasing impact and responsibility over time
Strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, and performance optimization
BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or another related engineering field
Nice to have: familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Python/Django, React, and PostgreSQL
Nice to have: experience leveraging AI development tools
Nice to have: experience with large-scale web frontend applications
Nice to have: experience with frontend build tools
