About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and manage training schedules across Customer Service, Collections, Credit Operations and new business lines
  • Organise classroom and virtual training sessions, including rooms, trainers, systems access, equipment and joining instructions
  • Coordinate new starter induction, shadowing, buddy pairings and sign-off milestones, including role-play tasks
  • Develop or coordinate training materials, e-learning and job aids with subject matter experts
  • Keep training content and Confluence operating procedures current and version-controlled
  • Track attendance and maintain audit-ready training and competency records
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory training is completed on time
  • Prepare management information on training completion, competency status and outcomes
  • Assess training needs using manager consultation, QA results, complaints data, performance data and job analysis
  • Convert QA findings into refresher training and coaching sessions
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Liaise with external trainers and providers, raise purchase orders, manage invoices and track training-budget spend
  • Support colleagues requiring additional training to regain competency status

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience coordinating training, L&D or onboarding, ideally in a contact centre or financial services setting
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confidence working with managers at all levels
  • Ability to juggle several priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and e-learning techniques
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and spreadsheets for tracking and reporting
  • Experience in an FCA-regulated firm and awareness of Consumer Duty, CONC, MCOB, SM&CR or T&C regimes
  • Knowledge of instructional design and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Experience with Confluence or similar knowledge-management tools
  • A training or L&D qualification, for example CIPD Level 3 or a Level 3 Award in Education and Training
