About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with product, development, and IT teams to understand hardware/software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Design, develop, and execute end-to-end test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews
Perform functional, performance, reliability, and compatibility testing on hardware asset-management functions and workflows
Validate automated and manually maintained hardware-asset data
Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and user-acceptance testing for software asset-management functionality
Identify, analyze, document, and manage defects through their lifecycle
Validate ServiceNow SAM Pro software discovery, reconciliation, license compliance, entitlement management, contracts, usage data, and reporting
Validate ServiceNow HAM hardware-asset lifecycle, data accuracy, and integrations with procurement, CMDB, and discovery tools
Verify data integrity across SAM Pro, HAM, and CMDB
Test custom ServiceNow ITAM workflows, reports, and integrations
Use Jira or ServiceNow ITSM to track defects
Generate test reports on progress, defect status, and product quality
Contribute to automated test scripts, frameworks, and CI/CD integration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active DoD secret clearance
10+ years of relevant experience (a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience)
5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Software/Hardware Testing roles
Hands-on experience testing both hardware and software systems
Minimum 2 years of dedicated ServiceNow testing experience, including SAM Pro and HAM modules
Strong understanding of IT Asset Management principles and best practices
Expertise in functional, non-functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT methodologies
Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Proficiency with Jira or ServiceNow ITSM
Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, attention-to-detail, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Desired: ServiceNow CIS-SAM, CIS-HAM, or CSA certifications; ITIL Foundation certification; test automation tools/frameworks; Python, Selenium, Robot Framework, Postman/Newman; JavaScript, Python, PowerShell; database concepts and SQL; prior government contracting experience
