About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across the entire technology stack
- Build robust backend services using Java
- Create and integrate RESTful APIs
- Ensure secure, high-performance data handling
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications using AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, and serverless components
- Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using JavaScript and modern frameworks
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot issues across the stack
- Continuously improve application performance and quality
- Build secure, maintainable, and high-quality software supporting US federal government missions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of experience developing in Java, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- 2 years of experience with Ansible
- Experience in REST API development
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, or Elasticsearch
- Experience with Node.js
- Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman and Linux environments is a bonus
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a bonus
- Experience building, consuming, and securing RESTful APIs is a bonus
- US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirement
