About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the technical design, build, testing, and deployment of custom solutions within SAP HCM and Payroll
Review functional design specifications and translate them into detailed technical designs
Design, develop, and enhance SAP HCM custom objects using ABAP
Develop and support custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and other technical components
Collaborate with functional teams to clarify requirements and align technical designs with approved specifications
Perform technical/unit testing, code validation, and prepare solutions for functional testing
Troubleshoot and resolve defects during functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
Provide remediation support through retesting and defect closure cycles
Develop and maintain technical design documents, development specifications, and testing artifacts
Support transport management, deployment activities, and production readiness
Collaborate with integration developers on connections to SAP or external systems
Leverage SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite for integration-related custom solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
Experience developing custom solutions within SAP HCM and/or Payroll environments
Experience building and supporting reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and related custom components
Ability to interpret functional specifications and convert them into robust technical designs
Strong debugging and problem-resolution skills
Understanding of SAP HCM data structures, technical architecture, and integration points
Experience supporting development through all phases of testing and deployment
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with functional and integration teams
Must be a US Citizen
Eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship in the United States
