About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the design, documentation, and testing of SAP custom development objects related to HR and payroll processes
- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed functional design specifications
- Review business requirements, process documentation, and solution designs
- Define business rules, calculations, data structures, validations, and error handling
- Identify SAP HCM/Payroll configuration dependencies, data requirements, and integration touchpoints
- Facilitate design walkthroughs and collaborate with functional and technical teams
- Provide clarifications to developers during the build phase
- Maintain traceability between requirements, functional designs, and delivered objects
- Develop test scenarios, test scripts, and test data
- Execute functional testing and validate results against documented specifications
- Validate calculations, business rules, data flows, error conditions, and exception handling
- Document test results and maintain evidence for audit and traceability
- Identify defects, collaborate with developers, retest fixes, and support regression testing
- Support readiness and handoff activities for subsequent testing phases
- Partner with business stakeholders, functional SMEs, technical developers, and project leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years SAP HCM functional experience
- Understanding of HR processes and SAP HCM data structures
- Experience developing functional specifications for SAP custom developments
- Experience designing and executing functional test cases for SAP solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical documentation
- Understanding of SAP custom development object types (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Must have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship
