About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain employee records and personnel files, ensuring documents are accurate, complete, and properly organized
  • Ensure employee electronic files are accurate and updated
  • Assist with HR reporting and audit requests
  • Collect, review, and process new hire paperwork
  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Track and follow up on compliance items such as training completions, certifications, and policy acknowledgments
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, rehires, promotions, transfers, organizational changes, compensation updates, status changes, and separations
  • Review transactions for completeness and accuracy before processing
  • Respond to employee inquiries, questions, and concerns
  • Escalate complex policy or system issues to appropriate HR or HRIS resources
  • Provide customer service to employees
  • Assist with administration of HR programs, projects, and assigned activities
  • Create and maintain employee files to ensure legal compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or HR certification
  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • 1+ years of experience in recruiting technical/engineering positions preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to professionally and tactfully handle confidential information and situations
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Skill in using standard office software to prepare memos, reports, and other documents
  • Working knowledge of California and Federal labor laws and regulations
