About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, develop, and implement electric and gas utility projects of varying size and complexity
  • Define and maintain project parameters from inception to completion
  • Oversee scope, schedule, budget, design, procurement, and construction deliverables
  • Ensure scope completion and adherence to schedules and timelines
  • Manage project budgets and optimize available funds
  • Oversee contractor selection and contract preparation
  • Ensure design and construction quality and compliance with scope and budget
  • Develop uniform project-delivery standards and reporting frameworks
  • Coordinate material procurement and contracting strategies
  • Conduct monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and financial management controls
  • Collaborate in person with clients, peers, leaders, and communities as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience with client approval)
  • PM I: 3–5 years of direct project management experience with customer-driven utility projects
  • PM II: 5–6+ years of direct project management experience with customer-driven utility projects
  • Project management experience in construction projects, including Electrical/Gas Substation, Compressor, Transmission, Distribution, IT, or Civil projects
  • PMP certification or Agile/Program Management training
  • PE license
  • Experience assessing financial impacts of projects and building business cases
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions
