About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform bank reconciliations for the company’s accounts by comparing bank statements with accounting and financial records
  • Process the application and posting of receivables (cash application), allocating payments to customer accounts and reconciling them with the corresponding invoices
  • Identify and resolve unapplied or unidentified cash, ensuring accurate allocation
  • Reconcile cash receipts from bank statements, payment slips, PIX, TED/DOC transfers, credit cards, and other payment methods
  • Analyze and reconcile suspense accounts and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accurate classification and the clearing of outstanding items
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation of reconciliation activities
  • Investigate and help resolve discrepancies, including partial payments
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Billing, Treasury, Sales, and Customer Service) to clarify outstanding issues and expedite payments
  • Follow internal controls, service-level agreements (SLAs), deadlines, and credit and collections policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bank and general ledger account reconciliation procedures
  • Cash application, receivables posting, and the Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle
  • Accounting principles, including journal entries, chart of accounts, suspense accounts, and subsidiary ledgers
  • Currently pursuing or completed a higher-education degree in Finance or a related field
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency
  • Previous experience in finance
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • English or Spanish proficiency is a plus
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus
