About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the safety of Accenture, client, agency, contractor, and traveling-public personnel by monitoring contractor operations and traffic conditions
- Review contractor operations for compliance with WISHA regulations and Department of Labor & Industries requirements
- Direct project staff in maintaining complete and accurate contract records for construction progress, expenditures, budgets, and work order balances
- Collaborate with contractors to verify compliance with project plans, quality standards, and construction requirements
- Perform field inspections against plans, specifications, special provisions, utility agreements, and permit conditions
- Prepare project reports and review daily inspection reports
- Maintain project records and calculate/document field quantities for contractor payment processing
- Document as-built conditions
- Monitor project schedules and budgets and report status to executive leadership
- Prepare contract change orders and contract-related documentation
- Research field conditions, develop contract-modification solutions, and coordinate engineering redesigns
- Review CPM schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain a daily project diary
- Support contractor-dispute resolution and prepare draft claim reports
- Ensure inspections, testing, and quality assurance follow the client's Quality Management Plan
- Coordinate special inspections and materials testing with WABO-certified inspectors and accredited testing agencies
- Monitor TESC compliance and coordinate with the certified erosion and sediment control lead
- Review certified payrolls and Washington State Intents and Affidavits for prevailing-wage compliance
- Ensure contractor activities and deliverables conform to client contract documents
- Perform constructability reviews and provide recommendations on design packages
- Work onsite at client sites and with partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or another related field
- Ten (10) years of experience in construction management on transit or public infrastructure projects, preferably with individual project values of $30 million or greater
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction contracts of similar size and scope
- Valid Washington State driver's license, or ability to obtain one
- Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred
- Equivalent construction contract administration experience on transit or public infrastructure projects will also be considered
- Working knowledge of WSDOT and APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction
- Experience administering FTA-funded construction contracts
- Experience with alternative delivery methods, particularly GC/CM and design-build
- CESCL certification
- Experience with EV charging or transit electrification infrastructure
- Contractor-side experience as Project Manager, Superintendent, or Project Engineer
- Competency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, or similar construction document management platforms
- Established relationships with Washington transit agencies and public works departments are advantageous
