About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and test software solutions using COBOL, working across different components and applications
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for integration between systems and applications
  • Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into detailed development specifications
  • Develop and maintain applications in accordance with programming standards and interface specifications
  • Support the deployment of new application versions to production environments
  • Participate in technical discussions with the team, contributing to problem resolution and the continuous improvement of solutions
  • Serve as a technical reference for COBOL, sharing knowledge and contributing to the quality of deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced knowledge of COBOL
  • Advanced knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language)
  • At least 1 year of experience in activities related to the technologies and responsibilities of the position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Intermediate knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices
  • Intermediate knowledge of code debugging and technical troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of database query languages, such as SQL
  • Intermediate knowledge of version control tools and systems, such as Git
  • Basic knowledge of application performance optimization techniques
