About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide recommendations during planning and design phases regarding constructability, phasing, logistics and operations interface to minimize costs and service disruptions
  • Assist with development of front-end contractor documents
  • Support risk identification and mitigation
  • Support establishment of CM Standards for safety, scheduling, contract change management, and quality plans
  • Assist in CM procurement activities, including scope development, evaluation criteria, and levels of effort estimates
  • Prepare rough order of magnitude costs for construction and construction change items
  • Assist in oversight of CM contracts for capital projects
  • Assist in coordinating construction activities among transit operations, infrastructure, and contractors
  • Assist in quality assurance for construction phase processes and deliverables
  • Attend Construction Project Progress Meetings and topic-specific project meetings to facilitate schedule and issue resolution
  • Assist with management of the Adjacent Construction program
  • Lead and/or assist in developing Program Enhancements to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Work across remote, client onsite, and Accenture office or center settings
  • Collaborate in person for learning, relationship-building, and client, peer, leader, and community engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 15 years of Project Management and/or Construction Management experience
  • Experience on large, transit related, public agency construction programs
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other construction related engineering discipline
  • Experience with transit projects
  • Expert understanding of construction industry processes and procedures
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software suite and Project Management Information Software
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently complete deliverables and meet deadlines while producing quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously managing several assignments
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and superior active listening skills
