Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technology fields
  • Experience programming Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, ABB, or Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Experience integrating SCADA/HMI systems, such as WinCC, iFIX, InduSoft, Elipse, and FactoryTalk
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and industrial networks, including Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP
  • Knowledge of regulatory PID control, industrial automation, and process optimization, including APC, RTO, control strategies, and supervisory systems
  • Experience working in industrial environments, such as mining, steel, oil and gas, or agribusiness
  • Analytical ability to investigate issues and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Integrated understanding of industrial processes and automation systems
  • Focus on efficiency, reliability, quality, and results
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proactive approach to proposing and implementing continuous improvements
  • Preferred: Modeling and simulation with MATLAB, Simulink, and Aspen
  • Preferred: Applied artificial intelligence, including Fuzzy Logic and Machine Learning
  • Preferred: Continuous improvement tools and methodologies, such as Lean, SPC, and Six Sigma
  • Preferred: Schneider systems, PlantTriage, ABB 800xA, and iFIX
