About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review and negotiate NDAs and general commercial agreements, including IT contracts
- Assist with company secretarial and corporate governance matters
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on everyday commercial matters
- Identify contractual and legal risks and recommend proportionate solutions
- Escalate matters where appropriate
- Take ownership of routine matters and manage competing priorities
- Work alongside senior lawyers on complex queries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified Solicitor, approximately NQ–2 years PQE
- Relevant commercial experience gained in private practice or in-house
- Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, including NDAs and preferably IT or services agreements
- Company secretarial or corporate governance experience would be particularly valuable
- Sound understanding of English contract law and ability to apply it practically in a business environment
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and commercial judgement
- Proactive, collaborative approach, with confidence to progress matters and recognise when senior guidance is needed
- For newly qualified applicants, relevant training seats, secondments and practical responsibility will be taken into account
- Availability and salary or rate expectations to be submitted with CV
