About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the technical reference for Analytics, Data Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence solutions supporting digital solutions for R&D
Translate business needs into analytics and AI solutions, fostering innovation, automation, and the strategic use of data
Support the governance of the AI Lab and identify opportunities for AI agents and solutions
Coordinate business, IT, and vendor teams
Serve as the focal point for Analytics, Data Science, automation, and AI initiatives
Lead end-to-end initiatives, from diagnosis and feasibility assessment through development, deployment, support, and continuous improvement
Diagnose automation needs and assess AI challenges, objectives, impacts, risks, and opportunities
Evaluate solution alternatives, including in-house development, Microsoft Copilot, IT and Systems, and external solutions
Provision, configure, and maintain computing environments for analytics solutions, automations, and applications
Develop, deploy, and enhance analytics solutions, automations, and AI applications in cloud environments
Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations between corporate systems
Develop applications, scripts, automations, and low-code solutions, with or without integration with AI capabilities
Identify, design, configure, and validate Copilot agents and other internal AI solutions
Plan and conduct proofs of concept, tests, and pilots, defining scope, acceptance criteria, and performance indicators
Work with AI solution vendors on prospecting, assessment, configuration, validation, deployment, and knowledge transfer
Monitor the operational continuity of pipelines, applications, integrations, and production services
Oversee the AI Lab project portfolio, ensuring governance, planning, traceability, metrics, costs, risks, and outcomes
Prepare technical and functional documentation, training materials, and knowledge-transfer processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Exact Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
Knowledge of Python, Bash/Shell scripting, SQL, Git, and code version control
Experience using Python for data analysis, data engineering, machine learning, automation, testing, and data visualization
Linux systems administration
Knowledge of Docker and Podman
Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably Azure
Knowledge of Databricks, Azure Data Factory, data engineering, data modeling, and Power BI
Knowledge of Selenium, process automation, and REST API integration
Development of enterprise applications with Microsoft Power Apps
Process automation and integrations with Microsoft Power Automate
Integration between Power Platform, REST APIs, databases, and corporate systems
Development of hybrid solutions combining low-code and traditional development
Preferred qualifications: interdisciplinary background in technology, data, and scientific domains; graduate-level education in a data-intensive field; LLMs and generative AI; RAG; MLOps; CI/CD; Flask/FastAPI; pharmaceutical, regulatory, or scientific industry experience; Microsoft Copilot; AI governance, security, privacy, ethics, and responsible use; proofs of concept, tests, pilots, and KPIs
Availability to work on-site Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays
Working hours: 7:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Fridays
