About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct inquiries and negotiate prices and delivery dates
- Process purchase orders and compare quotations
- Manage supplier selection, coordination, and evaluation
- Conduct annual negotiations with suppliers
- Continuously optimize procurement activities through performance reviews
- Ensure long-term and fair business relationships
- Monitor the market for new products and price developments
- Develop proposals regarding inventory planning, substitution, and clearance sales
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of demonstrable procurement experience, preferably in a senior role
- Completed vocational training or degree in business administration or a comparable field
- Affinity for technical processes and products
- Excellent written and spoken German and English communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on business, with approximately 10% travel required
