About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality teaching, training, coaching, and assessment for learners on Early Years programmes, including adult learning and Skills Bootcamps
- Manage an agreed caseload of learners and support them toward qualifications and successful outcomes
- Design and deliver individual and group learning through face-to-face, online, and hybrid models
- Conduct initial assessments and create personalised learning plans
- Plan and sequence learner- and employer-responsive training focused on progression into or within Early Years employment
- Collaborate with employers on outcome-focused training plans and workplace application of learning
- Provide information, advice, guidance, induction, pastoral support, and progression planning
- Develop training strategies, learning activities, and resources
- Ensure assessment and training meet awarding organisation, funding, Ofsted, and Early Years sector standards
- Plan, record, and track Guided Learning Hours, assessments, learner progression, targets, and achievement
- Support development of learners’ English, maths, digital, communication, safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, and Fundamental British values awareness
- Organise assessments and review meetings with learners and employers, documenting developmental feedback
- Conduct employer health and safety risk assessment reviews where necessary
- Maintain an electronic diary of learner workplace visits and interactions in line with lone working policy
- Maintain accurate learner records and document interactions in electronic systems
- Monitor key performance indicators including learner progress, feedback quality, teaching and assessment standards, stakeholder collaboration, satisfaction, and timely achievement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Level 5 in subject sector specialism (essential)
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent (essential)
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent (essential)
- GCSE grade A*-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
- Full, clean driving licence and access to vehicle/business insurance for travel (essential)
- Recent vocational experience or history of industry related continuous professional development (essential)
- Experience of dealing with employers in a professional capacity (essential)
- Experience working with e-Portfolios (essential)
- Meeting targets for timely achievement (essential)
- Working successfully as part of a team (essential)
- Deep knowledge of early years childcare practice practices (essential)
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (essential)
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in adult education and development (essential)
- Knowledgeable in the use of ICT to support teaching, learning, assessment, and communication (essential)
- BA in subject sector specialism (desirable)
