About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate learning, assess and improve learners’ skills, and support achievement of apprenticeship or employer-based qualifications
  • Manage an agreed caseload of apprentices and employer-based learners
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and assessment against apprenticeship standards and associated qualifications
  • Assess learners’ starting points and use findings to plan and sequence training
  • Develop individual training plans with employers
  • Deliver learner and employer induction programmes
  • Develop and implement training and learning strategies, activities, and resources
  • Ensure training and assessment meet Acorn Training and awarding organisation standards
  • Plan and monitor off-the-job training
  • Support learners’ English, maths, and digital skills development
  • Provide pastoral support and promote safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, and Fundamental British values
  • Organise assessments and review meetings, set targets, monitor progress, and provide developmental feedback
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to learners and employers
  • Manage objectives, deadlines, training outcomes, and achievement
  • Conduct employer health and safety risk assessment reviews where necessary
  • Maintain an electronic diary of learner workplace visits and interactions
  • Maintain accurate electronic records for apprentices and employers
  • Monitor learner progress, teaching quality, assessment standards, stakeholder collaboration, satisfaction, and timely achievement
  • Follow health and safety procedures, attend training, participate in regular one-to-ones, and undertake other commensurate duties
