About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate learning and assess and improve learners’ skills to support achievement of apprenticeships or employer-based qualifications
- Manage an agreed caseload of apprentices and employer-based learners
- Provide high-quality training, coaching, mentoring, and assessment
- Assess learners’ starting points and use findings to plan and sequence training, including English and maths development
- Develop and agree individual training plans with employers
- Provide comprehensive induction programmes for learners and employers
- Develop and implement effective training and learning strategies, activities, and resources
- Ensure training and assessment meet Acorn Training and Awarding Organisation standards and quality assurance requirements
- Plan and monitor off-the-job training within individual apprenticeship training plans
- Support continuous development of learners’ English, maths, and digital skills
- Provide pastoral support and promote Safeguarding, Prevent, Radicalisation, Equality, Diversity, and Fundamental British Values
- Organise assessments and regular learner/employer review meetings, set targets, monitor progress, and provide developmental feedback
- Provide information, advice, and guidance throughout learner programmes
- Manage objectives, deadlines, training outcomes, and achievement
- Carry out employer health and safety risk assessment reviews where necessary
- Maintain an electronic diary of learner workplace sessions and visits in accordance with lone working policy
- Maintain accurate electronic records of apprentices, employers, visits, and interactions
- Performance measured by learner progress, feedback quality, teaching and assessment standards, stakeholder collaboration, satisfaction, and timely achievement

Requirements
What you’ll need- Level 5 in subject sector specialism (essential)
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent (essential)
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent (essential)
- GCSE grade A*-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
- Full, clean driving licence and access to vehicle for travel (essential)
- Recent vocational experience or history of industry related continuous professional development (essential)
- Experience of dealing with employers in a professional capacity (essential)
- Experience working with e-Portfolios (essential)
- Meeting targets for timely achievement (essential)
- Working successfully as part of a team (essential)
- Deep knowledge of early years childcare practice practices (essential)
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (essential)
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in adult education and development (essential)
