About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Document requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations for proposed solutions
Understand business issues and organizational data challenges
Evaluate real-time data to identify substandard systems processes and drive requirements awareness across business units
Provide day-to-day support for close-related Workday processes
Troubleshoot issues and recommend configuration improvements with Accounting stakeholders
Communicate with department SMEs to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
Enhance connections with existing and new interfaces
Establish and apply a repeatable methodology for change management activities driven by FSA
Coordinate user acceptance testing, write testing scenarios, support process improvement, and assist with issue resolution
Manage change by addressing resistance and ensuring smooth transitions
Lead projects, ensure task completeness, and communicate updates to leadership
Support development of training and procedures for process optimizations and new projects
Support testing and communication of Workday semi-annual release updates and assess impacts on Financial Accounting/R2R processes
Conduct data-driven assessments to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and waste
Monitor close-cycle data and reconciliation status to flag issues and support process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven ability to work cross functionally and communicate technical data concepts to technical teams and business users
Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities while producing meaningful deliverables and meeting deadlines
Ability to develop comprehensive end user documentation and design visual workflows for Enterprise Applications
Strong knowledge of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning
Excellent problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to prioritize daily responsibilities and projects
Ability to translate complex data into simple, clear insights for business partners
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Suite proficiency, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management discipline and/or three or more years of experience
Strong data management skills
2+ years of experience working as an analyst or developing automated solutions
2+ years supporting Workday Financial Accounting or Record to Report processes, including general ledger, month-end/quarter-end close, reconciliations, consolidations, and intercompany accounting
Exposure to programming languages or advanced analytics
Experience working cross functionally within organizations
