About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze utilization, exemption processing, and copayment amounts
- Prepare files according to the client’s layout for submitting copayment amounts to payroll and for cost allocation
- Use formulas to cross-reference data, identify employees, and prepare utilization statements related to copayments
- Analyze databases in Excel or Access to generate claims ratio reports (Claims vs. Premium)
- Prepare reports manually and/or through the system, entering data according to a predefined standard layout
- Validate information entered into the system
- Support the healthcare team in generating and forwarding claims databases
- Contact the insurance carrier for coordination and follow-up when necessary
- Contact the relationship management team with questions and for alignment
- Track work activities daily
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills
- Comfortable performing routine work
- Experience in health insurance is a plus
- Knowledge of BI concepts, including Power BI, is a plus
