About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect and review premium audit data to finalize mail audits
  • Communicate with policyholders by phone and email to gather audit documentation
  • Review financial statements, payroll reports, non-employee labor documents, and verification records to assess policy exposures
  • Complete and submit audit reports promptly
  • Review physical audits conducted by others
  • Perform audits on Workers’ Compensation and General Liability policies under limited supervision
  • Examine records to ensure earned-premium calculations are accurate
  • Validate policy classes against regulatory agencies, independent state bureaus, PAAS, and company procedures
  • Identify, research, and correct policy-rating issues
  • Resolve audit discrepancies and disputes
  • Perform new business service calls and scheduled check-ins with account personnel
  • Review audit results with producers, underwriters, insureds, and Premium Audit leadership
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers throughout the premium audit lifecycle
  • Keep current with manual rules, market trends, and demands

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills, and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal skills, used to perform detailed analysis and prepare presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with business, financial, and operational acumen
  • Strong organizational, analytical, customer service, and interpretive skills
  • Ability to effectively multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline OR equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Premium Audit experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Power BI
  • Final candidates must complete post-offer verification processes related to the role
