About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clarification on questions regarding coverage, limits, and deadlines
- Monitor the issuance and availability of Health and Dental invoices on insurer and carrier portals
- Review billing, identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies
- Prepare and review billing allocations and beneficiary changes
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies between invoices, enrolled members, and enrollment changes
- Monitor payment posting processes with insurers and carriers
- Enter invoices into the benefits system and keep internal controls up to date
- Provide customer and HR support, answering questions related to billing
- Coordinate with insurers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve outstanding issues
- Prepare controls and reports to monitor billing processes
- Ensure compliance with client-established deadlines and SLAs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in Benefits, an insurance brokerage, an insurance company, or an insurance carrier
- Knowledge of Health and Dental billing processes
- Experience reviewing invoices, billing allocations, and beneficiary changes
- Knowledge of insurance brokerage operations and coordination with insurers and carriers
- Intermediate Excel skills — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and other tools for data analysis
- Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented profile
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and partners
- Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines, controls, and high volumes of information
