About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage a caseload of Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims from assignment through resolution
  • Investigate claims, determine compensability, and develop appropriate claim handling strategies
  • Review medical documentation, coverage, and claim exposure in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves based on claim developments
  • Manage complex indemnity and litigated claims, including settlement negotiations
  • Coordinate with defense counsel, medical providers, employers, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor claim activity, maintain accurate diaries, and ensure timely follow-up
  • Coordinate return-to-work efforts and identify opportunities for cost containment, subrogation, or fraud investigation
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation within the claims management system
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience handling Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims required
  • Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania workers' compensation laws, regulations, and claims handling practices required
  • Experience managing complex indemnity claims required
  • Experience developing claim resolution strategies and negotiating settlements required
  • Delaware workers' compensation claims experience highly valued
  • Experience handling litigated workers' compensation claims strongly preferred
  • New Jersey workers' compensation claims experience considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex claims in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
