About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and support scalable, cloud-native applications across the full software development lifecycle
Develop Docker, Spring Boot, and MySQL solutions using Nuxt.js and Vue.js for static applications, server-side rendering, and single-page applications
Design and develop containerized REST API applications using Spring Boot
Build AWS serverless services using technologies including API Gateway, Amazon SQS, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon Cognito
Interpret and implement software requirements while identifying technical dependencies and considerations
Provide development estimates and communicate constraints, risks, and potential liabilities as part of the Scrum process
Plan and prioritize development tasks to meet project objectives and customer-initiated deadlines
Design test protocols for application stability, usability, security, and quality
Use CI/CD pipelines and build tools including NPM, Yarn, Docker, AWS SAM, and Gradle
Collaborate with Scrum team members to deliver secure, stable, user-focused solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years' experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C#, along with Python and JavaScript
Familiarity with Java Spring Boot, JHipster, or similar application-development frameworks
Familiarity with AWS cloud development and cloud-native application patterns
Ability and interest in learning new systems, frameworks, and programming languages quickly
Ability to consistently produce high-quality work while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong collaboration, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to meet stated customer-initiated deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all Acrisure-related activities
Experience with React.js and/or Vue.js using the Nuxt.js framework
Experience with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, Vuetify, or Tailwind CSS
Experience with Apache Spark and the PySpark library
Hands-on experience with Docker, MySQL, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, NPM, Yarn, AWS SAM, or Gradle
Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Amazon SQS, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon Cognito
Comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership
