About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate complex, multi-source datasets into concise executive narratives explaining findings, implications, and data limitations
  • Develop and maintain executive-facing presentations, insight memos, and self-service dashboards
  • Write queries against Palantir Foundry Ontology to extract, transform, and validate data from operational tables and dbt models
  • Extend dbt models, help establish data pipelines, and shape use of Palantir Foundry for team insights
  • Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer, Head of Revenue, and other executive leaders to understand data questions and deliver trusted analysis
  • Apply data modeling best practices, including documentation, Git version control, incremental build strategies, and data quality validation
  • Identify and proactively communicate data gaps and inconsistencies
  • Use AI tools to accelerate analytical and engineering work while evaluating outputs before business or production use

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a strategy-adjacent analytics role
  • Strong SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and multi-table joins
  • Ability to read and debug existing queries
  • Hands-on experience with dbt or Palantir for data modeling, or equivalent data modeling experience in another modern data warehouse environment
  • Comfort with a modern cloud data warehouse
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings to non-technical executive audiences in writing, presentations, and conversation
  • Experience with a BI or visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Interest in learning Palantir Foundry
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with a small, fast-moving team
  • Ability to use and critically evaluate AI tools
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Direct experience with Palantir Foundry is nice to have
  • Python proficiency is nice to have
  • Exposure to insurance, financial services, or complex B2B commercial environments is nice to have
  • Prior experience presenting findings to senior leadership is nice to have
  • Exposure to agile development, Git-based workflows, and Jira is nice to have
  • Must be able to work onsite in Austin 4 days per week
  • Must be authorized to work without visa sponsorship; the employer is not able to sponsor visas
  • No C2C or C2H employment
