About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development and implementation of the WWAALL® SaaS platform
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team
- Prioritize tool stability, reliability, scalability, performance, and security
- Establish processes and tools for proactive detection and resolution of technical challenges
- Lead product and technology roadmap planning, assessing feasibility, risks, and tradeoffs
- Prioritize technical debt and system improvements
- Monitor technology trends and introduce new technologies and methods
- Lead and manage a high-performing technology team
- Cultivate self-accountability and communicate team vision, goals, roles, and responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology strategy aligned with company goals
- Identify innovation opportunities and guide new products and features
- Develop and manage technology budgets and plans
- Provide cost/benefit analyses of technology initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs and unit goals
- Select and implement AWS cloud solutions for growth, cost optimization, and security
- Define and govern AWS cloud architecture, utilization, and processes
- Define and track quality standards, security policies, and system governance practices
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Define and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable technology architecture
- Contribute innovative ideas to product planning and design
- Oversee systems and infrastructure design and implementation, emphasizing stability, reliability, best practices, and high code coverage
- Report to the Head of WWAALL®
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 7 years of software development experience, including prior experience as a CTO or in similar leadership roles
- Strong expertise in PHP, preferably with Laravel framework
- Experience applying Clean/Hexagonal Architecture in production
- Strong proficiency in web development in multiple programming languages, especially PHP/Laravel and JavaScript
- At least 5 years of professional experience in PHP/Laravel and JavaScript
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Web Components (Lit 3.0 or similar)
- Practical experience with Node.js and its ecosystem
- Proficiency in MySQL in multi-tenant environments
- Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus
- Experience designing or operating fine-grained authorization systems (RBAC/ReBAC/ABAC) is a strong plus
- Competency integrating third-party APIs, including Microsoft Graph API, Google APIs, AWS, Stripe, and PayPal
- Desirable experience in Domain-Driven Design and Agile Methodologies
- Comfort leading teams using AI-assisted development workflows
- Previous experience building and scaling highly available SaaS and PaaS platforms
- Ability to develop and execute a long-term technology strategy aligned with business objectives
- Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills
- Fluent English and Spanish are valued
