About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support international colleagues during the final build phase of the new distribution center
  • Drive the setup of the Santa Maria da Feira distribution center
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop the local team
  • Lead all distribution center operations and teams
  • Oversee daily deliveries and ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-efficient operations
  • Drive process improvements and implement logistics procedures
  • Take ownership of key financial results
  • Develop shift models, scaling operations to a full three-shift setup as volumes grow
  • Lead site-level projects as Project Manager
  • Represent the distribution center in European initiatives
  • Collaborate with European Process, Transport, Human Resources, Facilities, and IT teams
  • Collaborate with the Works Council and Unions
  • Report to the Regional Supply Chain Manager and participate in the Regional Management Team for Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Slovakia

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with international supply chains
  • Experience or aptitude in fast-paced retail logistics
  • Ability to build and lead a distribution center from the ground up
  • Knowledge of safety, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to improve store deliveries and align with international experts
  • Ability to build strong relationships with teams, colleagues, works council, and unions
  • Strong long-term planning and daily operational focus
  • Structured, reliable, deadline-driven, and pragmatic approach
