About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct needs analyses, inventory management, and complaints management
- Manage contracts, maintain and monitor material master data, and follow up on delayed deliveries
- Maintain relationships with international suppliers
- Lead global negotiations on commercial terms
- Acquire new suppliers and expand the global supplier network for materials
- Conduct market price research and support tendering processes
- Obtain quotations and monitor price trends and market developments
- Contribute to project teams supporting the launch of new products
- Manage projects with a focus on cost efficiency
- Prepare budget-related reports, including bad goods reports, price calculations, provisions, and write-downs
- Take primary responsibility for audit-relevant processes relating to packaging and raw materials
- Support audits, such as FSSC audits
- Report directly to the Procurement Manager
- Collaborate with specialist departments at the production site, Supply Planning, Product and Project Management, Product Development, Quality Management, and Finance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercial apprenticeship or degree in business administration
- Several years of experience in operational procurement, ideally in the food industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes
- Experience in supplier management
- Ability to understand and assess complex markets
- Independent, solution-oriented, and structured approach to work
- Strong organizational skills and assertiveness
- High sense of responsibility
- Enthusiasm for analyzing and improving processes
- Good understanding of financial interrelationships
- Fluent German and English, with strong negotiation skills
